Another 30 Day Challenge: Food & Diet

Welcome to Another 30 Day Challenge this March, 2015. Ill be thinking, Food, Diet, and probably gaining a few Pounds.

The idea for any 30 parkour challenge sprouts form the idea of doing a 30 day fast. Fasting usual means "to go without", where as in my case, for these 30 day challenges I will be, "going with". During March I'm concentrating on food and diet, with the goal to gain some weight. I want to learn about food and what I can intake as a parkour athlete.

In the month, to make the challenge as simple as possible I will pretty much only be doing 4 things:

1. Parkour every day
2. Eat more protein
3. Track my weight weekly
4. Learn about diet

This will be easy for me to do. If you want to join me in doing 30 days of parkour, the month just started, so it will be easy to jump in with me. I suggest picking a goal you can work toward and achieve. My Goal for this month is to gain 5 lbs. We will see if this is possible. I had to adjust this goal after talking to my friend Jake, he said 10 lbs might be hard to do in a month, plus be a strain on my body. For the last year or so I have wanted get back up to 150 lbs like I used to be. In addition to parkour, I also do some distance running so I burn a lot of calories. At the beginning of the month I weighed myself, I'm 138 lbs. I can probably do with a few more pounds in my arms and back.

Diet and food intake is something I have begun to learn about more and more lately. Ive been picking up on a lot of good tips from the Running World just form listening to some Podcasts. One of the things I wanted to do with this 30 day challenge is to see how my body reacts just by intaking more protein. Without changing much else, of course I'll be doing parkour everyday, instead of my normal which is 3 times a week and running once a week.

The way in-which I plan on intaking more protein is to drink one protein shake every day, and intake more eggs and milk. My father-in-law helped hook me up with some protein powder. Ive got some MYPROTEIN Strawberry Cream flavored powder that tastes really good. I usually mix it with milk, but on occasion I do water. ive been eating an egg with my lunch or breakfast every other day and trying to drink a little more water. All of this is 100% more than I in-took before the challenge started. I am currently not changing anything else about my diet.

This is what my 30 Day Challenge is going to look like this march. Im am currently 6 days in. I wont be weighing myself until the end of each week. Till then, Raise your Protein Shake, and go do Parkour.
